Announcing: In-Home Massage Now Available

At Dreamclinic, we see it as our mission to help fellow humans keep healthy by working against the ravages of stress and pain. With all the societal change going on, there sure is plenty of stress going around and we are really feeling our mission these days. Knowing that some of you have not had bodywork for many months and are unable to make it to our clinics, we got creative and developed a new service option – in home massage.

In Home massage – we come to you!

For those not able to make it to our clinics, we have just launched Dreamclinic in home. You can now receive the same highly-skilled, deeply caring brand of service you have come to trust from Dreamclinic, now conveniently in your home. Learn more.

Enthusiast members get more value

Your Enthusiast sessions can now be used either toward clinic visits or in-home visits. Enjoy the same low member rates for in-home service (add only a setup fee and gratuity).

Enthusiast members share enthusiastically

If there was ever a good time to gift someone a massage or acupuncture session, that time is now. So we are waiving the gifting fee for our Enthusiast Members through the end of the year. That means there is no additional charge if you want to share your Enthusiast sessions with friends or family. It’s a good time to be or to become an Enthusiast Member.

Extra duration (90’s) for extra relaxation

Before the corona, Dreamclinic number-crunchers observed that 90-minute sessions had grown in popularity, representing one in three visits. Unfortunately when we first re-opened, we were still getting our bearings and had to limit sessions to one hour. I am so pleased that we have resumed offering 90’s again. More good news is that, in contrast to industry practices, Dreamclinic sessions last the full duration (60 minutes is sixty minutes). You are welcome. Call or email us or book online.

Boosting immune system with Acupuncture

Ever wonder why all the buzz about acupuncture?

Within the last few weeks we have seen an increase in clients booking Acupuncture sessions. This reflects the trend that people are looking for best ways to support their health naturally at this time.

A compromised immune system is a major component of most chronic diseases. Acupuncture supports the immune system by lowering stress and restoring healthy flow of energy (Qi) throughout the body. In addition, Acupuncture strengthens immune response more directly, through specific acupoints, by stimulating the autonomic nervous system to increase the body’s T-cell count.

For those unfamiliar with acupuncture, we have made a short video with Dreamclinic acupuncturist, Celeste, discussing how Acupuncture supports your immune system.

Resuming online scheduling for all clients

Dear Dreamclinic community,

We are excited to let you know that as of today, you are now able to use our online scheduling again! This will restore the convenience you have come to expect when booking sessions at Dreamclinic. Sessions are limited to 60 minutes duration at this time to allow sufficient time for sanitizing between clients.

Our Roosevelt, Queen Anne and Bel-Red clinics are back in operation 7 days a week as of June 21st and we are accepting all clients. If you are a U.District client, we ask that you consider one of our open locations.

Many of our therapists are returning end of June and July and we are continuing to experience very high demand for appointments. This means you may need to book a few weeks out.

It is an absolute pleasure and a privilege to be of service to you, especially during these stressful times.

Thank you for your patronage!

Dreamclinic Expands Services To All Clients As Of June 8th

Recently, the Governor announced that WA State healthcare facilities can resume providing non-urgent services. This allows us to open up our schedule to all clients as of June 8th for your self-care routine that includes our highly rated therapeutic work.

Our Roosevelt clinic is already operating. Our Queen Anne clinic is opening doors on June 15th and our Bel-Red clinic reopens on June 22nd. We do not have a reopening date for the U. District clinic at this time. If you are a U.District client needing service, please consider one of the other open locations.

We are getting a high volume of requests for appointments and are working diligently to accommodate everyone. We are adding therapists back to the schedule every week and have also hired several fantastic new team members that we can’t wait for you to meet. Our online booking convenience should be restored as of next week. Until then, we ask that you please call or email us to book your appointments.

Looking forward to seeing you again!

Reopening in the era of Covid-19

We are pleased to share this video about Dreamclinic’s reopening in the era of Covid and the many steps the business has taken for everyone’s Health Safety. Produced by Dr. Frank Aversano who runs Wots the Rub Facebook page with business tips for the massage community, this video shows off our lovely Roosevelt clinic location and includes an interview with our CEO, Larisa Goldin.

What we are doing to re-open our clinics, starting with urgent medical need.

Dear Dreamclinic clients,

I am contacting you with an update on the steps we are taking to re-open our clinics for massage therapy and acupuncture appointments. As a provider of both relaxation and medically necessitated bodywork, Dreamclinic is on the governor’s list of essential business, allowed to operate at this time.  Starting May 11th, we will resume service, opening up appointments specifically to those with urgent medical need, those that are experiencing acute pain or impaired mobility. If you have an urgent medical need for bodywork, please email us asap.  A member of our staff will then be in touch to coordinate the soonest  available time for your appointment.

We are asking you to email us rather than book online or call because we will only have a few therapists available the next few weeks and wish to accommodate those with the most urgent needs. Please note that the therapist you will be paired with at this time may not be your regular therapist, but Dreamclinic employs only those therapists who are caring, medically-informed, and highly skilled.

For those who currently have appointments on the books as of June, we may be cancelling and rescheduling your appointment.  This is due to the fact that our therapist team will be returning to work on different timeframes and may have different schedules than before. We appreciate your understanding as we reset our regular rhythm.  As of May 11, only our Roosevelt clinic will be opening, with other locations to follow when possible, and based on further guidance from the Governor.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

At this time, we are taking the following precautions for everyone’s safety: we will be checking temperature upon arrival as well as screening all guests and employees for virus symptoms and exposure. We are also supplying masks along with other PPE to our staff in addition to sanitizing treatment rooms, public areas and equipment between each guest.

We are navigating uncharted waters in an unprecedented time, not just for Dreamclinic, but our entire industry, adapting to a constantly changing environment. We retain passion for serving you and partnering with you in your long term health.

Please start checking our FacebookInstagram and Twitter accounts for self-care tips and business updates.

Thank you for your ongoing support,

Larisa Goldin,
Dreamclinic Founder & CEO

Temporarily closing clinics. Thank you, Seattle, for your support.

Dear friends,

We are in unprecedented time for our country, facing a pandemic that requires us all to act in the greater good of the community. First of all our, heart goes out to all the first responders, medical staff and everyone that has been impacted. We are all deeply grateful for your service to the community.

As a healthcare company, we have been monitoring the CDC recommendations regarding Covid-19. Based on the latest information, it has become clear that the best way to support our community is to temporarily discontinue services. Our clinics will be closed starting March 19th until further notice. This is the best way to protect our valued team members, clients, and the greater community. If you have any questions, we will have team members working remotely to respond by phone (206-267-0863) or email. Enthusiast members need not worry as your sessions roll over and can be used at any time in the future. You can still schedule appointments online into April.

Thank you to our entire community for the incredible support that Dreamclinic has received during this time. We can’t wait to be back in service as soon as possible!

Larisa Golden,
Founder and CEO

As we are one of the businesses with a direct economic impact from the COVID-19, we welcome your additional support in the form of gift card purchases, if you are able to do so. Use the promo code SAVE10 for 10% off all gift certificates purchased until we re-open.

Dreamclinic’s Coronavirus Response

Dreamclinic’s mission is providing services and education that promote a natural approach to health!  We care deeply about the wellbeing of our community during this time of uncertainty and stress for everyone.

Our business is open for you. As always, Dreamclinic complies with all Health Safety standards which includes washing hands, changing linens and disinfecting before and after every single session. In addition to the usual measures, we are taking additional precautions such as providing extra sanitizer to all guests and staff, changing up ‘social’ habits and we’ve ordered touchless thermometers for each clinic. Optional masks may be worn by some therapists.

A strong immune system is your best defense.

Many studies confirm that getting a massage has a positive effect on your immune system, replete with white blood cells when strong.. Recently, researchers from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles shared that people who received a 45-minute massage had an increased number of lymphocytes, or white blood cells, that play a large role in defending the body from disease.

Managing Your Scoliosis with Massage Therapy

If you’re familiar with scoliosis, you may know that it involves the abnormal curvature of the spine. Often resulting in body imbalances that cause pain, it is difficult to cure this condition, but worthwhile to focus on treatment of its symptoms. And while bracing and surgeries are common methods for treatment, in recent decades patients have been turning to massage therapy for managing their scoliosis. Not only is massage therapy less invasive than these other methods, but there are many benefits that massage can provide to people with scoliosis. Read on to find out more about this condition and how it can be managed through massage therapy.

Types of Scoliosis

While the result of scoliosis is abnormal curvature of the spine, the causes of scoliosis differ based on type. Additionally, cases can range from mild to severe, while the shape of the curves vary in degree, direction, and form from individual to individual. The two most common abnormal curvatures of scoliosis are in the form of an S or C-shape.

One type of scoliosis is congenital, which means it is present from birth where the spinal bones develop abnormally while the baby is growing inside of the mother.  Another type of scoliosis is functional scoliosis. This means that the spine developed normally, but the curvature arises due to other problems in the body such as a leg length difference, injury, poor posture, or muscle spasms in the back. Neuromuscular scoliosis is commonly diagnosed in adolescents and children and is a type of scoliosis caused by muscle weakness or disease, such as cerebral palsy and spina bifida.

Types of Massage Therapy for Treatment

While the causes of scoliosis differ, massage therapy can be helpful for treating the pain symptoms of people with scoliosis. Effective massage treatments are:

·       Deep Tissue Massage Therapy – This therapy uses intense pressure to target areas of pain, helping to stretch and relax tight muscles while improving circulation.

·       Swedish Massage Therapy – This therapy uses light to medium pressure allowing for deep relaxation and relief from back pain, headaches, shallow breathing, and insomnia.

·       Cranial-Sacral Therapy – This therapy is a very gentle type of massage therapy used to mobilize restricted tissue around the spine, allowing for improvement of overall mobility in the body, reduction of stress, and central nervous system functioning.

Benefits of Massage Therapy for Scoliosis Patients

If you’re looking to use some of these massage therapies for treatment of a scoliosis condition, some of the benefits that you can expect are:

·       Increased Mobility – Massage therapy balances out the muscles of the back and spine, allowing for better mobility throughout the body.

·       Enhancement of Body Awareness – Regular massage therapy cultivates a sense of body awareness helpful for functional scoliosis, which is dependent on posture and holding patterns.

·       Improved Circulation – Massage therapy mobilizes tissues and increases blood flow allowing for greater flexibility and healing of the muscles.

·       Relief from Stress – When your body hangs onto stress, tension builds up in the body, contributing to symptoms of pain. Massage therapy helps calm the mind and reduces muscle tension, giving you a better peace of mind.

Now that you know how massage therapy is useful for managing scoliosis and the types of massage therapy that are effective, you may be interested in trying it out for yourself. And you can easily schedule a massage today online through Dreamclinic with one of our licensed massage therapists!
