Interested in acupuncture but nervous about needles?
Acupuncture needles are very fine and flexible, as thin a strand of hair. Most patients find the treatments very relaxing and fall asleep during the treatment.
A common benefit of acupuncture some people may not know.
Acupuncture works by restoring the body’s natural balance and is one of the safest ways to deal with chronic pain by stimulating specific points. A 2012 study done by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics looked at the effect of acupuncture for four chronic pain conditions: back and neck pain, arthritis, chronic headache and shoulder pain. Clinical trials involving over 17,000 patients showed that patients receiving acupuncture had significantly less pain than patients in the placebo control group, confirming that acupuncture is effective for the treatment of chronic pain.
In addition to Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Jin also offers Cosmetic Acupuncture.
